Except it’s not really what I want. Why? I see a conflict between Rick as an intelligent man capable of writing over two dozen carefully crafted mystery novels and a Rick incapable of ever not believing in any superstition or fairy tale he’s told. The level of gullibility he shows makes me think he couldn’t still be rich because he’d be an easy mark for every con man in New York

By far the best episode this season. It would leave a very bitter taste with the fans if ABC does not bring both Fillion and Katic back for a season 9. Season 8 up until the last 3 episodes has been a complete screw up, I do not think ABC wants to leave this great show on that note.The only thing that would have made episode 17 an A+ is if at the ending Kate would have looked into Rick’s eyes and told him we are going to have a baby to. Now moving on to episode 18 , Rick and Kate rush in to help there friend Hayley. And what a good friend to have. She did not tell them about Rick’s disappearance that she know about from episode 2 -15. It caused major pain for both Rick and Kate, lying to Rick’s Mom and daughter and there 3 best friends. I guess that is what Hawley thinks a really good friend should do. Or maybe she was waiting for Rick and Kate to really split up so she could move in on Rick. With a good friend like that who needs a LokSat.

I also feel strongly Katic is saying good bye, moreso than last year, so lets hope ABC recognizes the only reason fans are enjoying these past episodes is because of both Katic and Fillion. With only one, there is no show

In reply to Jim45. Jim45, I agree I also think that ABC has noticed also. The show is still a steady performer on Monday for them.I have this sneaky feeling that the show will be back for season 9 (shorten season)anyway. It might just be hopeful thinking on my part also.

Yes, it was a pleasurable way to spend an hour or so. 3 good episodes in a row. At least TPTB have stopped digging the hole they’ve put this show in. I wonder if anyone, but core fans notice. We’ll see how the rest of the season goes.
