‘Empire’ season 2, episode 12 preview: ‘A Rose by Any Other Name’ and more Hakeem drama

The second season of “Empire” returned to Fox on Wednesday night, and over the course of it we had quite a few different developments. Hakeem has a new place within Empire, but it’s not going to take long at all before he realizes just what sort of trouble is going to await him in that position.

The next installment is entitled “A Rose by Any Other Name” (who doesn’t love a Romeo & Juliet reference here and there?), and the synopsis below gives you a few more details as to what to expect:

“With Hakeem acting as Empire’s CEO, Camilla sinks her claws further and further into him. The rest of the Lyon family tries to get him to rejoin their side, but Hakeem has his own plan. Meanwhile, Jamal receives backlash from his fans and Andre and Rhonda’s marriage is tested.”

When it comes to Rhonda, let’s just say that we are happy she is still alive. We’ll have a little more insight on these upcoming stories in particular after we get through tonight’s episode overall, and we have a further promo giving you some more information about what is coming up.

The promo below makes it clear that there are some other significant stories coming up, whether they include Hakeem facing corporate pressure, possible pregnancies, betrayal, and lots of good stuff when it comes to this cast of characters. After being a little bit guest-star heavy the first half of the season, we’re now focusing in.
