He wasn’t upset with Ralph for being more intelligent, but for being less than his genius self by trying to dumb it down for Walter to understand — something he stressed he should NEVER do again, because the world needed his intelligence, which in turn would make it “a more beautiful place.” I also loved how Walter admitted in open court that he’d kept the invoice from the router he fixed that day, which was one of great significance for him as well. It wasn’t just the day he met Ralph; it was also the day he met Paige.
