On Monday night, Emily Maynard may have given one of the standout moments of “The Bachelorette” all season when she told Kalon McMahon to “get the f— out” after she found out that he had secretly been talking smack about her daughter Ricki — even to the point of calling her “baggage.”
What’s even more shocking than all this? That despite the fact that he knew this was going to air on national TV, Kalon has not even called Emily up to say “sorry” for some of the things that he said. In her new blog (which comes to us via People Magazine), Emily also explained why in the world she wanted to keep him around after he was condescending towards her the first time earlier this season:
“I still to this day haven’t received an apology of any sort, and that to me is the most telling of all. Looking back, I should’ve sent him home the second he told me not to interrupt him, but I guess it’s a good lesson learned. Ladies, always follow your gut!
“I’m disappointed in Kalon for letting his hurt ego cause him to say such hurtful things that no mother should ever hear. I’m confident that if I had shown him more attention, he never would’ve said those things, but I’m glad I didn’t because it let me see his true colors. For so long Kalon had been so condescending to me and everyone else in the house, but I know what it’s like to be misunderstood and I didn’t want to be one of those people that wrote him off before really making an effort to get to know him.”
As for Kalon, he has yet to even speak out about what he said to Emily (or anything else, for that matter). The saddest part of all this is that considering the show’s history of bending over backwards for people who cause extreme amounts of drama, he will probably be asked back for “Bachelor Pad” (and hopefully will be among the first people voted off).
Do you think we should ever see another second of Kalon on TV again?
