Usually, post-election parties are typically opportunities for people to reflect on a campaign — but on Sunday night’s season 2 finale for “The Killing,” it is set to serve as the setting for a pretty aggressive manhunt on the part of Linden and Holder.
As the pieces in the Rosie Larsen case start to finally come together, it becomes pretty clear to Linden and Holder that Jamie is their primary suspect. Does this necessarily mean that he is the guilty party? No, but it does put them in a position where they must go all-out to try and find where he is.
Unfortunately for them, Jamie seems to be on to what is going on — so much so that he does not show up for Richmond’s election celebration. At the time Linden and Holder enter the party, there are only a few districts left to count — and with that in mind, shouldn’t someone so close to the campaign really be present.
Overall, we’re still of the belief that whatever is going on is much deeper than just Rosie’s death, and that Jamie could very well be the biggest red herring of them all. Even though fans of the Danish version of the show may know who the identity of the killer there, that does not mean that Veena Sud and the producers at AMC are going to follow the same path. (As a matter of fact, we would be surprised if they did.)
