It’s crazy to think about, but really one action on the season finale of “The Vampire Diaries” is the reason that many of these characters are now even still alive in Mystic Falls. Bonnie did not choose to really consult anyone at all when it came to her moving Klaus straight into Tyler’s body, but it remains the right one — at least when it came to keeping the bloodline intact.
So how will this moment play into her season 4 story? Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Julie Plec is promising some rather big things:
“This is Bonnie’s ‘I am witch woman, hear me roar’ moment … She went and made a decision that she felt was best for the people that she loved, consequences be damned. Bonnie is the true hero in all of this, if you really look at it. She came in and found a way to save the day. Had she not done what she did, all of our heroes would be dead… We’re just seeing the beginning of growth for her, exploring who she is and what it means to be a witch and how she feels about it.”
There are some out there who are secretly hoping that Kat Graham’s character will take a sort of dark turn now that her best friend Elena has become a vampire — the very thing she hates — but that would be a risk that producers may not necessarily be willing to take for the coming season.
