In reply to Buddy. Buddy, remember when we were all told this split and separation of Rick and Kate and this bad story line would be over at sprint speed. What happened? They must have a different dictionary they use. This whole season been a little misleading, they could not even figure out the second half start up date, we had fans tune in to watch the December episode 9, it wasn't shown and then we had fans tune in to see the January 4th start up, it wasn't shown, them we had fans tune in for the February 4th start up date, it wasn't shown, finally episode 9 was shown on February 8th not too many folks tuned in because they did not want to be disappointed one more time. The first cancellation notice I found was dated October 16th, only after a few episodes. They know they had a problem, but would not fix it. With a new president at ABC the pin will more than likely be pulled on the show, and we all lose.

In reply to Buddy. I am a fan and like most realize the wedding that never was is the instant that Marlowe lost the magic, it was Lucy yanking the football from Charlie Brown, one time too many. Since then it has been a slide to where we are now. The only reason there was a season 8 was because of Paul Lee and the chance for a season 9 was due to his advocacy. With his removal, this will be the end of Castle the series. The new director of programing will be axing all the series with low ratings. Enjoy what's left of this season, this is it.

I don’t care what happened. So I won’t be watching e14. What I wan to watch is more than 5 minutes per episode of Fillion working with Katic, because they are the best rom-com couple in the business. Why wouldn’t I want to watch that more than anything the Castle show has to offer?

Leo, every since Castle’s disappearance and the disruption of the wedding I have been firmly convinced that the demise of the show will be the long story line that go nowhere at the speed of a snail. As Nathan said, ” the fans get bored in the waiting”. For example LokSat. Vikram worked8 episodes and only found out a little bit that a detective could have discovered in a day or less. Now what has been discovered since? Vikram has delayed several times to interject himself between Castle and Beckett and done nothing else of which we are aware. I’m tired of waiting and bored to death.

In reply to Vikki. With the departure of Paul Lee, as head of programming at ABC and a staunch advocate for season 9 , wrapping up all the lose ends becomes imperative . Without Lee the weekly ratings become crucial, and future looks dim.

And why he is doing this without Beckett, again – and in LA of all places. Of course ‘To Live And Die In LA’ is a fan fav so to revisit this sans Kate (and with another female PI) feels like yet another slap in the face to long time fans.

It’s kinda late, when this wasn’t looked into in the first part of season 7, the writers broke with Castle Canon, and in doing so began the constant drip of the hard core demo fans. You can actually go back and watch the demo numbers drop week after week till the winter hiatus from which they’ve never recovered.
Caskett never quit, never stop, till they find the truth, suddenly with his disappearance, they quit, they stopped, they broke 6 years of Castle Canon.
I guess it’s passed time that the remaining fans learn what happened and how ’bout telling us why the once dynamic duo quit looking into one of the most devastating events of their life.
