Athelstan actually betrayed Ragnar and threw the Arm ring away. Ragnar didn't have the decency to let him leave, so then the other Vikings had to kill him. Yet Ragnar always comes out smelling like a Rose. He's cheated on his wife Lagertha, betrayed Bjorn (he's not telling him, he's making Ubbe King), betrayed Floki. He's a bad king who let his men die for revenge against Floki, and then he murdered an old man to cover up his dismal mistakes. I can't wait for the snake pit. I hope Floki and Aslaug throw him in.

I might slap my wife if she cheated on me with a god and then told me it was ok for my friends to kill each other.

I wasn't that thrilled with Ragnar slapping Aslaug to the floor either, it makes him a villain him for no real reason. For me, Vikings it the best show on TV, but this episode was all over the place.

You are right. Not enough Vikings in this episode. And what's up with that scene where Ecberts son is saving Kwenthrith in the tower? Were we supposed to be rooting for him?? Didn't he order the slaughter of the Viking farmers who stayed in Wessex??... I don't know but this episode seemed like the antagonists were becoming the protagonists and vice versa. Are we supposed to start hating Ragnar since he's slapping his wife around now? I really hope the shows writers arent setting up Ragnar to "deserve to die", that would be cheap and cliche for a show of this caliber.
