.ABC did promote the Sunday episode, as strange as that may seem. Not only was that demo of .08 the lowest ever so was the 4.9 mil viewers . Which makes Monday’s ratings significant .I thought season 9 chances were fairly good until Sunday and now the crucial Monday.
Fact is once viewers go they don’t come back. Monday is important .

ABC promoted the Sunday episode, something the’ve seldom done in the pass. The other half was the 49 mil viewers , ratings I never thought I ‘d see.. The true tell all will be the Monday ratings.
The ratings thus far for season 8 are it. Going back to the umber of season 6 or even 7 are most likely gone forever.

Shame on ABC for putting on a NEW episode of CASTLE with practically ZERO advance notice. They didn’t say ANYTHING about a special Sunday episode at the end of last Mondays episode. It’s amazing that the show did a 0.9 If there was a sign that ABC wants to get rid of this show, we got it. I can’t see any way this show is renewed. As far as we all know, ABC isn’t even negotiating with Stana or Nathan for another season. The ratings have been putrid. ABC didn’t think enough of it to bring it back in January, when it would have an extra month without competition from BLINDSPOT. I like this show, and it hurts that ABC is treating it(never mind the fans) this way. Shame on you ABC!

For what it is worth there are only two of the show’s listed that I watch. They are Madam Secretary and Castle. We prefer Castle when it’s shows are up to par (that is no long story lines just a stand alone episode per week). I believe that Castle will receive a secure status for season 9 if they go back to stand alone episodes per week.
