‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Phillip Phillips, and Pia Toscano

Adam's speaking out in a new interview.

For our Tuesday morning edition of “American Idol,” we have everything from another National Anthem to a fascinating discussion about fame.

Adam talks his fanbase and more – We’re going to start off with one of the best Adam Lambert interviews we have literally ever heard (seriously). This interviewed aired on “The F Word,” and it is fascinating to hear the Grammy-nominated singer talk about when he realized he was famous, and how he has since reacted to that.

In addition to talking about the positive side of being fame, he also talked about having his sexuality exploited early on in his career, since he had first went on “American Idol” for the career opportunities rather than to have it be a platform for his personal life. It’s a pretty far-reaching and lengthy chat, but it is one that is certainly worth a listen.

Phillips Phillips leaves the hospital – Fans of Phillip Phillips can rejoice now that he is now on to the next official stage in his recovery following a pretty major kidney surgery last week.

In a statement to E! News, the reigning champ officially confirms that he is out of the hospital, and will be ready for the tour in a month’s time:

“I’m out of the hospital and back to work! Looking forward to the future.”

During his recovery Phillip is staying in an undisclosed Malibu mansion, where he will be able to focus more on his recovery rather than having to deal with stress of everyday life in his hometown of Leesburg, Georgia.

Pia performs again! – With the Los Angeles Kings winning the Stanley Cup on Monday night, it was the last opportunity for Pia Toscano to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” in front of the Staples Center audience. The gig has become a bit of a tradition for her, and she once again nailed it before the game this time. (Check out the video below via Mjsbigblog.)

Now, we just want to hear more of her music from her long-awaited debut album.

As always, be sure to check back soon for more or the latest “Idol” news!
