If you buy SVU on DVD, they usually include these episodes in the DVD set(they did last season) so you can watch the CHICAGO PD episode if and when you ever decide you want to.

I’ve watched SVU since the beginning, but I don’t watch Chicago PD; so to me these crossover episodes are just full of characters I don’t know and have no interest in. I presume they do them to garner new viewers to Chicago PD, but I just end up skipping them altogether.
