It won’t be Tony’s chase. Gibbs and Dr. Taft will get all the action. Tony will hang out in the bullpen and might get to interview someone. Only Gibbs can be in danger these days.

That is not her side of the story. She was in negotiations with CBS for months. They were in a standoff and finally she had to cave in or quit. She chose to quit. She never said anything negative about CBS or anyone associated with NCIS. She took full responsibility for her decision. Cote is a class act.

Just last year she said that she had wanted more time to close the story of Tony and Ziva but it wasn’t possible. She has said that she would be open to coming back but I don’t think that CBS wants her back. They would prefer to invest their time and $ in trying to prop up Bishop. Again, I am not trying to beat up on Emily Wickersham. I don’t like the character Bishop. I don’t think that the character is well written. They practically had to do a lobotomy on Gibbs to try to make her fit in. She has pulled so many bone head stunts, that it causes my head to spin. The original Marine -tough Gibbs would not have wanted her on his team. Instead, he coddles her. As I’ve said before, this is a different show from the one I loved.

I don’t care to see Ziva back at all. My understanding was that when Ms. de Pablo quit she only made herself available for a very short amount of time so they couldn’t give her much screen time. Also given the last minute nature of her resignation combined with the weak writing staff they seem to have now it’s not surprising that the ending was not so good. I do think they (as usual) sacrificed Tony to give tiva fans a bit of satisfaction though. I liked the Jeanne arc and loved the way Tony was written during that season so I am fine with the idea of Jeanne somehow being involved in Tony’s departure. But somehow I doubt that the current powers will put that much thought into it. They haven’t given Weatherly’s DiNozzo much to do in a very long time and I think they will be scrambling to promote their next big thing and Gibbs of course.

I am also a big tony and Ziva fan and if they are bringing Jennie (Scottie Thompson) back for Tony to go off – that would be a kick in the teeth for us Ziva/Tony fans.

Especially as they didn’t have proper closure.
