AMC’s ‘The Killing’ spoilers: First look at finale!

We’ve waited for this a long time, but on Sunday night we are finally going to learn just who ended up causing the death of Rosie Larsen on “The Killing.” While we still don’t have anything for you when it comes to firm answers, Jamie seems to be in the crosshairs more than ever in the promo for Sunday night’s season finale.
Not only are Linden and Holder going to have to get to the bottom of this case fast, but they also are going to be doing so in the midst of an election (hence all the people in the blue ball caps). Richmond is also going to be questioning Jamie just as much as anyone else, as he feels as though he has been lied to at times in the past few weeks.
In addition to solving the Larsen case, this finale also has another challenge — trying to find a way to ensure that there is the potential for a third-season mystery that people will want to watch. When you make so much of a show about a single case, it producers a sort of “what now?” effect once the mystery is solved. There’s no guarantee that “The Killing” will even return with the ratings that it has, so it will need to find a way to flex some creative muscles to get people intrigued for the series’ future.
Who are you currently thinking is Rosie’s killer based on all of the evidence?

Joe. I love a smart whodunit. I’m hooked on Homeland. It’s well written. It is smart. They don’t dabble in the red herring fish market. The story moves along every week. The characters have flaws, but the way we seem them is brilliantly thought out, IMO. They didn’t solve the problem, but then, they didn’t lead us on and make us think they would.
Killing’s plot is so full of holes and miscues as to be laughable. But glad some of you have enjoyed it.

It’s so funny that some of you are so offended by a possible third season. This show’s ratings are down (as much because of America’s infatuation with Game Of Thrones as it is the internet crybabies who got their collective panties in a bunch over last season’s finale), but the quality of acting and storytelling is as sharp as ever. As a longtime fan of the Agatha Christie style “whodunnits” I can tell you that red-herrings and subterfuge until the very last frame is the standard so stop whining about all the twists and turns.
In the end I think Veena Sud was right, no matter how arrogant it sounded at the time: This show is too sophisticated for a generation that’s been spoon-fed mindless reality shows, zombies, aliens, and countless CSI spinoffs. Flame on that but you know deep down it’s the truth!

The ratings are terrible. Unless the AMC executives are total idiots (well, they did mess up Mad Men and Breaking Bad’s negotiations), next Sunday is it. Then it’s off to the Netflix vault.
I’m guessing the 4th person in the elevator will be Terri.

I love the show The Killing. It is the best show on TV. I trust they will have a third season.

I’m so over this show, I don’t even care who killed Rosie anymore.
