‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ review: More Teresa Giudice drama

Teresa's still talking family.

It doesn’t really seem to matter what week we are talking about when it comes to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” — the subject is pretty much the same in Teresa Giudice. When she’s not around Melissa Gorga, she is largely the topic of conversation. Meanwhile, she brings up anything and everything when around Jacqueline Laurita, regardless of whether or not her pal wants to hear about it.

Since we don’t want to even think about the bedroom scene with her husband any longer than we already have, let’s transition instead into some of what unfolded when it comes to the rest of the episode. Melissa and Kathy Wakile got a hold of a tabloid in which Teresa said some not-so-nice things about them — but instead of getting too upset about this, they mostly obsessed over their own pictures before burning it in the most dramatic way imaginable. (Um, they know there are millions of others out there, right?)

Teresa spent some of this episode at a wedding for Caroline Manzo’s brother, but even here, she was somewhat distracted. While at the reception, she took a walk with Jacqueline to talk about Joe Gorga calling her and inquiring about therapy. Could it actually help these two? Sure, mostly because they would not be in a situation where their respective spouses were standing between them. However, Teresa insisted that she doesn’t really need therapy, and therefore sees intent on just speaking negatively about the Gorgas instead. We didn’t necessarily see it here, but the continued family drama is going to be what causes this friendship to fracture moving forward this season.

All in all, there really wasn’t that much that happened this week outside of the wedding. With the fights staying constantly the same, “New Jersey” is starting to feel a little stale — and we need something (take a changing of alliances) to mix things up again.

Are you feeling that this season is starting to become a little one-note?
