‘The Bachelorette’ preview: Travis Pope is Emily Maynard’s Romeo

Emily is the sun!

A few weeks ago, all we knew about Travis Pope was that he was the strange guy on “The Bachelorette” that was carting around an ostrich egg — now, he may be known as the guy who managed to butcher the words of Shakespeare like no one else has done before.

In a new video (via TVGrapevine) from Monday night’s new episode, you can see Pope rather hilariously try and read off a soliloquy from “Romeo & Juliet” during the group date while incorporating a bit of a southern drawl that no Juliet would ever fully comprehend. We’re actually not sure what is better about his performance — the accent or just how passionate he is about getting it done.

The good news for Travis is that Emily is not necessarily looking for someone who takes this challenge altogether seriously. As a dad, you have to know when it is best to goof off and have a little bit of fun — and you can’t very well expect for everything to go perfectly all of the time.

Do you think this moment could actually end up helping Travis in the long-term?┬áBe sure to check out our weekly “Bachelorette” rankings, and leave a comment in the box below!
