We still have an incredibly long time to wait until season 2 of “American Horror Story” premieres, but co-creator Ryan Murphy is still at least giving us a taste as to what this journey back in time (and to a mental institution) is going to consist of.
Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, the showrunner explained that some of the actors returning to the show — from Zachary Quinto to Lily Rabe to Golden Globe winner Jessica Lange — are going to be playing rather different characters than who they tackled the first time around. However, he’s not too willing to say much more than that:
“I don’t want to say what Zach and Lily are doing, or what anybody else is doing, until we get closer to [fall]. But I’ll continue to say that everybody is playing the opposite of what they played last year, which I think is why they’re all so into it. Like, I have talked to Zach and Jessica and they were very excited.”
While most of 2012 has been quiet on the “American Horror Story” front (much to the dismay of it’s fans), it’s probably fair to say that this will not last much longer. The show is about to get some Emmy buzz in the miniseries category, and season 2 will be premiering on FX in a matter of months.
What do you want to see play out over the course of this season?
