Sunday night’s new episode of “The Killing” is being teased as the first part of a two-night finale for season 2, and AMC is also doing its best to carefully remind us of one thing — Rosie Larsen’s killer will indeed be revealed by the time June 17 rolls around.
Based on what happened at the end of last week’s episode, Linden and Holder finally seem to have two tangible suspects in Rosie’s death in Gwen and Jamie — and they are going to pursue them at all costs. What they do quickly learn, though, is that it is rather difficult to differentiate if one of them is any more guilty than the other. Neither one of them seemed to have their key card on them at the time of Rosie’s death, and it’s unclear just who left it on the tenth floor of the casino.
While all of this is going down, Richmond is going to be dealing with his own problems leading up the election — namely that his strategy of coming clean did not entire have the effects he was hoping in the polls. Unfortunately for him, if things go awry in the Larsen case — especially with the connections that these two have with him — it could be far more damaging than any sort of public statement designed with a bit of spin.
Do you think that Gwen and/or Jamie are the ones responsible for Rosie’s death, or are we looking at what may very well be our final pair of red herrings?
