Attorney’s don’t only have to be seen in the court room. They can interact with the team even if there is no trial. What would be exciting for Barba is to have more of his personal life become part of the story. Perhaps he can have something difficult from his own past come into the present. Ie perhaps he was a victim in his earlier years etc.

Perhaps he could have a love interest that isn’t a woman. But either would be great. We just need more of his backstory and more of him generally!

Barba misses more episodes than anyone on the show. SVU doesn’t have anywhere near the courtroom drama it used to have. He’s probably not in 8-10 or more episodes a season. The only person who is in every episode is MARISKA(SURPRISE, SURPRISE!) Maybe they should call it the Mariska Hargitay Show. Expect there to be TONS of Mariska for the rest of this season because Warren Leight is leaving at the end of the season and he wants to try and get Mariska ONE MORE EMMY before he leaves. DAMN EVERYONE ELSE, FULL SPEED AHEAD!
