Mrs. Carter: Could someone really find love on a self-described “silly” dating show?
While it still remains to be seen if any celebrity from “The Choice” actually ends up dating the person that they pick in the long-term (we’ll get updates on Thursday night’s crop next week), the show’s host in Cat Deeley seems to be giving one newly-made couple a chance based on what she saw from them during the show’s taping.
In an interview on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Thursday night, Deeley — who is now pulling double-duty on Fox courtesy of “The Choice” and “So You Think You Can Dance” — suggested that Carmen Electra may have actually found a potential partner during her appearance on an upcoming episode featuring the ladies in the swivel chairs:
“[Carmen] picked a guy and it was seriously thunderbolt city! The chemistry was palpable, they were looking at each other across the crowded room, I felt all green and prickly like a gooseberry. There was some serious ‘Getting it on, get it on!’”
Some of the other stars set to appear in upcoming installments on the show include Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, former “American Idol” Taylor Hicks, singer Joe Jonas, and former Miss USA Rima Fakih.
It’s crazy that people once thought romance could never blossom from an outrageous situation like being on a reality show, but if we look at how many couples have been produced through reality television these days it seems that your odds of finding a mate are better through this platform then any other at the moment and with all the new dating shows like “The Choice” and “Take Me Out” it looks like more and more couples could be forming because of them.
