‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’: Teresa Giudice takes debate to ‘The View’

Separate interviews hindered the show.

Was Teresa Giudice really aware that her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga was joining “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” before it happened? Rather than focusing on any other issue in regards to a pretty nasty family feud, this seemed to be one of the primary topics of conversation for the reality star in an interview on “The View” Friday.

First things first, it should be noted that Teresa chose not to conduct an interview alongside Melissa or one of her cousins / co-stars in Kathy Wakile, mostly because there were family issues that she felt should be sorted out in private. She was adamant on her stance in regards to Melissa joining the show without her knowledge, and she also confirmed that she has no desire to quit the show over what has transpired with her family. After all, Teresa claimed to Whoopi Goldberg and company that she was “really happy,” and feels no need to say goodbye to a program that has helped her nuclear family and made her into a best-selling cookbook author.

The moment Melissa and Kathy came out later in the show, it became pretty unclear that we were really not going to get anything out of this interview at all. Both of these ladies explained that Teresa did in fact know that they were joining the show before it happened, and that they will probably be back for a fifth season regardless of the state of their relationship with a woman who is arguably the series’ biggest star.

From an entertainment standpoint, the fight between Teresa, Melissa, and Kathy was at first entertaining in that it was brought something different to this show; however, this season it has become tired, and at times even a bit petty and sad compared to the real drama we saw from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” this past year.

Just in case you didn’t get a chance to see the interviews, you can check them both out below.
