Just in case you had any questions about whether or not David Morrissey could pull off the character of The Governor on “The Walking Dead,” we may now have an official answer.
The photo on the left (via TV Guide) shows off the first picture of the infamous character in action, and we can almost feel his scowl burning off our fingertips as we type this. The Governor is known as a ruthless figure in the Robert Kirkman graphic novels, and his abusive and violent actions towards Michonne (Danai Gurira) in particular are well-documented.
For those who have not heard much about season 3 as of yet, there will be a setting change as we now head to prison with our group of travelers — an environment that will at least be protected from the walkers via four walls. But will the inhabitants of the prison really be that safe from each other? That is the question we currently find ourselves asking leading up to the fall premiere and even more so now that we’ve seen just how menacing The Governor looks in this new photo.
You can check out a recent video below of some of the cast talking about the intensity you can expect to see from this season, which will be the show’s longest yet at 16 episodes.
Are you terrified of Morrissey’s version of The Governor already?
