NBC’s ‘Community’ fan creates real version of show video game

Get ready to be amazed.

Community” fans have done some pretty cool, cool, cool (and sometimes geeky) things over the course of the past three seasons — but this has to rank somewhere near the top.

If you head over to Reddit, you can check out a real-life version of the video game seen in the episode “Digital Estate Planning” — and there are options available even for Windows, Mac, and Linux users. In doing our due¬†diligence¬†(really just an excuse for playing video games on the job) we’ve gone through the whole game, and it’s a brilliant reconstruction of just about everything we saw on the show. As for how someone managed to create this in a matter of just a few weeks, we’re completely stunned. (Then again, the fact that someone did create this proves yet again why “Community” fans are some of the best in TV land.)

Ever since its release, the game has spread like wildfire across the show faithful — even creator and diehard gamer Dan Harmon (who was tragically sent packing by studio Sony Pictures TV) has admitted to hearing about it, even if he has yet to sit down, pick a character, and go through some of the areas.

Have you checked out this game out yet — and if so, what do you think?
