‘Empire’ season 2, episode 10 (fall finale) preview: ‘Et Tu, Brute?’ hints at big things

Empire -Anytime that you hear the words “Et Tu, Brute?” used in any shape or form, you have to anticipate big things. The quote is one of the most-famous in all history, since it is a reference to the betrayal of Julius Caesar. We feel like within the world “Empire” Caesar is none other than Lucious Lyon, so at the moment, we are meant to ponder over the following question: Could we actually see someone turn their back on the king of Empire Entertainment?

Before we do anything else in this particular article, let’s share the synopsis below to start to understand where some potential betrayal could take place:

“Lucious makes a reckless play for the streaming service that he believes will make him the most powerful man in music, only to learn that the entire business strategy was part of a scheme that might jeopardize everything for which he has worked so hard. Meanwhile, Cookie decides to plan a concert at the prison where she spent 17 years locked away from her family; and you won’t want to miss the last few minutes that will leave you speechless.”

By the time we make it through to the end of this episode, we are expecting more or less one of the biggest cliffhangers of all time. Why wouldn’t we have that when you consider that this is a show that makes its money off of delivering huge, shocking moments, and it is going to be off the air for many months? To quote one of the most-famous songs out there, you got to give ’em something to talk about.
