I liked the episode overall, but the firewall hacking scene had me groaning at the simple stupidity of it. I know hacking computer systems is not exciting and the writers need to spice it up, but making it completely illogical in the process? We are in the middle of hacking through their firewalls, but look, we can still make their computer spew up cat videos etc. etc.

Social media all over knows the VikRam is the LokSat guy and that he is in love with Beckett. Now that most everyone knows this could we dump him and get back to what people want to see, Fillion and Katic working together in the same frame for more than 10 minutes an episode?

This episode was positively a giant step in the right direction. The quality of the dialog still has a long way to go. It certainly seems that Vikram remains a major liability. Caskett working together on the ship was back to perfect form. When allowed to by the writer, (Christine Roum is certainly more sophisticated than this drivel) our star couple rapidly reverted to great form. The scene breaking the firewalls was really exciting TV. As seems to be a pattern this year, the finale was less… This how many times that Castle has forgiven and forgotten??. It was too easy. There is no indication that Kate has learned about marriage or commitment and no indication that she will not make the same mistakes again. The lying, the deception and the total lack of trust in the pure goodness of Castle go passed her head.
