‘The Bachelor’ considering Ali Fedotowski ex Roberto Martinez

Ali and Roberto were together for over a year.

Do we already have a new “Bachelor” lined up despite Emily Maynard’s “Bachelorette” only being four weeks old? Based on some new tabloid reports, that does seem to be the case.

According to a new report from Life & Style, Ali Fedotowsky’s former fiance Roberto Martinez has signed a deal to be the new leading man when the flagship version of the show airs in the spring. Casting Roberto does certainly have its benefits — he’s likable, already well-known to show fans, and he also allows the show to finally buck criticism about them never having a minority in the lead role.

At the same time, isn’t it a little early for ABC to come to this decision? According to E! News, no formal decision has been made yet on the lead, even though Roberto is still being strongly considered for the role. Producers are also looking to see how the guys on Emily’s season end up being received, and are even looking at some external candidates (which is something host Chris Harrison suggested he would like to see on the show as a nod to some of the early seasons).

Tell us — do you think that Roberto would be a good leading man for the show?
