I am looking in the mirror right now and I have a lovely lady standing next to me looking in the same mirror, she says she’s related to you by blood.

Flattest episode that I can remember.

The “tweeting” sketch had a few good moments, but I mostly felt sorry for the cast members, especially Vanessa Bayer. I haven’t seen Drake’s new video because I’m not much of a music fan, so I’m not sure about the parody. The surreal quality of seeing Donald Trump, assuming that was him, as an accountant was mildly amusing. (EDIT: I just found out that it was Martin Short as Ed Grimley. I love Ed Grimley, so I’ll have to rewatch it and then, when it becomes available, send a link to my uncle.)

I’ll be honest, I expected sketches with him playing himself, but I was hoping for him to play weird characters. The Weekend Update was…okay. I’ve never liked Drunk Uncle. As soon as he appeared, I predicted that Trump would appear as a relative of him. Didn’t happen, to my chagrin. I hope Bobby didn’t actually hurt his hand. That band sketch was kind of funny in a “cranky grandpa” kind of way. Was it meant to be a meta commentary on his small appearances in the promos?

The digital short about a dinner was amusing, but the sketch/musical guest introduction was painful. I knew they would bring back the “Former (censored) Stars…” sketch for this. Somehow, I guessed it. Considering that I’ve never really liked that sketch, I don’t know if I should feel happy or not. Bobby made me laugh, so that’s good. “Ronald McDonald-Trump” made me smile. I want to see Bobby and Taran do duelling Trump impressions.

Overall, I found the episode to be boring. My favorite episode of the season is still the Tracy Morgan episode. This has become my least favorite episode of the season.
