‘Pretty Little Liars’ spoilers: Keegan Allen calls new ‘A’ twist ‘shocking’

Is Toby dangerous?

If you thought Mona was dangerous as “A” on the first two seasons of “Pretty Little Liars,” then you’re probably going to be cowering in fear at what is going to come next. Someone new is going to be taking on the moniker during the show’s third season, and the stakes are going to be raised in a big way for Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily.

Based on the first ten minutes of Tuesday’s season 3 premiere (which you can see over at this link), it looks as though Keegan Allen’s character of Toby is being set up as one of the most-likely candidates to take on the role and wreck some havoc. Of course, Allen is not saying what is going to happen — but he did promise Wetpaint that the following episodes are going to be intense:

“It is definitely going to be really, really crazy and shocking. Whereas before there was violence that Mona would preoccupy the girls with, this A is really going to pull some punches on them.”

As for whether or not Toby is the new “A,” we’re still a little skeptical — if for no other reason than that it seems a little bit obvious. (Then again, we didn’t think that showrunner Marlene King would make the original “A” the same person that was in the books.)

Do you think that Toby is the top candidate at the moment to be the villain of season 3, or are you still leaning more towards someone like Jenna or even an unexpected pick like Ezra?
