Mrs Carter: This is for all the clackers out there that didn’t think these two were really in love.
Holly Durst and Blake Julian’s season of ‘The Bachelor Pad‘ was definitely filled with it’s share of drama as the pair tried to balance falling in love without breaking Michael Stagliano’s heart in the process, but when Holly and Blake announced during the finale that they were engaged it sent a shock-wave through out the Bachelor universe.
Many skeptics thought that Durst and Julian’s engagement wouldn’t last and that they were just coming off their reality TV high, but on Saturday the lovebirds showed everyone what’s what as they exchanged their vows, said their ‘I do’s’ and sealed the deal with a kiss during their wedding ceremony held at the Cliffs country club in South Carolina.
According to People Magazine, Julian and Durst wed in front of roughly 115 guests which included a few of their ‘Bachelor’ friends; Erica Rose, Justin Rego, West Lee and Ella Nolan. Holly said; “I couldn’t be happier. Blake is my best friend and now my husband. I have a beautiful future ahead of me with this man. I love him with all my heart!”
Blake posted a message on his Twitter account earlier today thanking everyone that came out to share in his special day with Holly. He wrote: “Just had the best night of my life! Thanks to all my friends and family for helping my new wife and I make some incredible memories.” Holly posted a short message on her Twitter account on Saturday before she took that big trip down the aisle, saying; “Today is the day!!! ♡
The usual crop of haters and nay-sayers have started in on the couple through social networking sites like Twitter (mostly over the Stagliano/finale/engagement incident), but neither Blake nor Holly is allowing it to get them down. These two seem to really be in love and while it’s sad that things didn’t work out for Michael and Holly, she has found the person she’s truly in love with and we couldn’t be happier for the couple.
