‘American Idol’ notes: Carrie Underwood, Jessica Sanchez, and Phillip Phillips

Is Carrie Underwood set to work with Steven Tyler and Aerosmith? Since this is the most exciting rumor of the day, it’s the lead-off for our Saturday edition of “American Idol” notes.
According to a well-connected fan source for the band (via Mjsbigblog), Carrie and Steven (who have worked together on a few occasions and TV gigs in the past) have been planning a country duet for the rock band’s upcoming album. Is it true? That is still unclear, and there is a development that has us a little skeptical — mostly that the original post has been deleted. With that in mind, it’s possible that the whole story was untrue — but then again, it’s also possible that the band doesn’t want the word out on it just yet.
So for now, let’s place this firmly in the “rumor” category and move on.
The real Jessica Sanchez – Contrary to what we saw on “Idol” for much of this season, the reigning runner-up is not really that interested in pop music. This is what Sanchez had to say to Rolling Stone in a new interview, one in which she also talks more about some of her musical influences, and what she wants to ultimately get out of her career.
Since it’s not in the interview (which you can see at the bottom of this article), we’ll also add this about Jessica — she’s a video gamer! In a new post on Twitter, she recently announced that she was playing “Call of Duty: Black Ops.” As silly as this sounds, these sort of details may have been what were missing from “Idol” to show the full spectrum of her personality. We think that Phillip Phillips’ sense of humor allowed him to have so many more fans, and Jessica probably also would have benefited from the show allowing her to also showcase that she knows how to laugh and have a good time more than they did.
Phillip hoping to release new music soon – Speaking of Phillip, he has suggested on his own Twitter page that he would like to have some original material out within a few months — which would be right in the middle of the “Idol” tour. While this is a pretty quick turnaround, remember, that both Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina last year managed to have their debut albums out in October. With that in mind, anything’s possible — though it is going to be hard for Phillip to work much in the next month following his kidney surgery.

For me win or loss, both Jessica and Philip will have great career ahead of them. Stop wasting all your efforts of writing any negative comments about them, just support them by buying their records and be happy for them! GOD Bless.

Hey Red~ At first I just thought you were another moon-loon racist but you are minimally correct in one convoluted thought. If I were to go to a backyard barbecue , local drinking establishment, VFW , high school dance ,sporting event ,or county fairs I would probably hear WGWG playing on the jukeboxes or on stage. WGWG allow for audience participation.
If I wanted to hear the song choices as sung by Jessica Sanchez , I would have to frequent gay bars where the entertainment is drag queens belting out show tunes. It has nothing to do with Fox. Its what middle class, well-adjusted, productive, God-fearing, law-abiding American citizens want and voted for in an American Idol winner.

If you think that Fox Executives will allow a Asian/Mexican win over a WHITE SOUTHERN BOY, I have a piece of land to tell to you in Florida. Wake up and smell the coffee! Now the entire World can see for themselves that Fox doesn’t like gays nor Mexicans, that is why Adam lost and now Jessica. America is a racist nation, period!
Seriously?

AI is definitely rigged. They should have left Jessica as roadkill at the top 7. Instead they saved her and praised her lackluster performances the rest of the way, while throwing Hollie (a much better singer) under the bus repeatedly. Even Shotgun Skylar would have been preferable to Jessica. And Elise was more interesting than all three of them put together. But it’s NOT a singing competition. It’s a popularity contest. Apparently none of them got the memo. So the guy who couldn’t care less won (with a little help from VFTW). And this surprises you?

It was evident that AI knew who they wanted to win at the very first start! That is what I saw, for the Producers smeared Sanchez persona, in favor of Phillip. If you look at all the edited parts of both personality, they showed the serious side of Sanchez and the goofy side of Phillip. Even portray him as being poor and working in a Pawn shop, but in fact he works for his father that owns the shop. I’m sorry to say, but AI is so rigged, from the save segment to the sabotaging of her single song. While Phillip got the good song with all the bells and whistle, Sanchez was given the worst song. It”s so clear to me, that it bites me in the asset! Yes, I’m bitter and so done with AI forever and a day!
