While there may be panels at this year’s Comic-Con that have been funnier than the first-ever appearance by Steven Spielberg, this one may have very well been one of the coolest to ever grace the convention center. Spielberg talked about everything from “Back to the Future” to “The Adventures of Tintin,” Peter Jackson made a surprise appearance (though not for “The Hobbit”), and he finally confirmed the much-discussed rumors that “Jurassic Park 4” is going to happen — and with that, we can only speculate on the details.
Spielberg did confirm that a fourth movie is coming, and added that they are already in the early stages of making it happen:
“We have a story. We have a writer who is writing the treatment and hopefully we are going to make Jurassic park 4 in all of our foreseeable futures, hopefully in the next two or three years.”
While sometimes a fourth installment can seem like overkill, in a way it is nice to possibly think that this could eventually get the bad taste that was “Jurassic Park 3” out of our mouths.
Spielberg also has a number of other projects on the pipeline, including “Lincoln,” “War Horse,” and “Robopocalypse.”
