Ratings: Fox’s ‘Touch’ finale, ABC’s ‘Duets’ each drop on slow night

It’s looking more and more like ABC does not have what it was hoping for with its new singing competition “Duets” — and with the ratings in mind it’s fairly safe to say that we won’t be seeing the show around for a second season.
ABC – The second episode of Kelly Clarkson’s new show ended up drawing a 1.5 rating — down two points from its premiere audience. Meanwhile, “Rookie Blue” held steady with a 1.4 following its first episode last week.
Fox – Without “Touch” having any sort of lead-in at all (and with it being off the air for two weeks), the two-hour season finale scored only a 1.3 rating. Then again, Fox will be happy if it carries this number into next season.
The CW – The only other network to air anything new, The CW scored a 0.3 for its premiere of “Breaking Pointe.” While these new shows aren’t exactly putting up big numbers, we actually applaud the network for at least trying something in the summer — after all, it’s more than we can say for some of its competitors at this point.

Do you think “Duets” will be able to stay steady at this number for the rest of the season?
