So was Tony Pieper really content to be eliminated by Emily Maynard on “The Bachelorette“? Based on what the single dad is saying now, he probably would have eliminated himself from the show had he been kept around for a longer period of time.
Tony took part in a conference call with reporters this week, and he was asked the very question as to whether or not he would have left on his own. His answer? It really seemed to depend on how much time he would have ended up spending with her:
“Yes, I definitely was at that point. And like I said, I just didn’t know enough about her. I just didn’t have that much time with her. I don’t know if I could’ve lasted another week being there. I probably would’ve gone home on my own very soon after.”
Tony claims that going home and seeing his son was one of the happiest days of his life, and that he is rooting for Sean — someone who he feels has similar values to what Emily is looking for — to be the one who ultimately ends up winning her heart in the end.
Do you think that Tony ever realized just how hard it would be to not have his son around during taping?
