In reply to Lisa Liscoumb. Paulley Perrette called Abby a "cartoon" character, because she never changes. I think that there are now so many people complaining about "Gibbs, Gibbs, Gibbs!" that maybe TPTB are letting the character change and grow up a bit. Was the guy that put her in the van, the clueless psycho stalker ex boyfriend?

Don’t forget we have seen kickass!Abby before – when she dealt with Chip, and when she beat the crap out of that guy who kidnapped her and put her in the van (“Don’t look up my skirt!”) Unfortunately somewhere along the line we lost that Abby and ended up with babygirl!Abby. I, too, hope that this signals a return to the tougher, edgier Abby we used to get.

Actually, it might be interesting to see Abby grow a bit. She has a history of going into meltdown when in difficult and not so difficult situations–for example the fear of autopsy, the fear of not being enough, the initial fear of meeting her biological brother, Kyle and dealing with the stalker ex boyfriend. Seeing her face the bad guys and taking charge would be a nice turn of events.
