Get ready, fans of fist-pumping nationwide — “Jersey Shore” is officially set to kick off another season of filming.
In the now-famous town of Seaside Heights, New Jersey, a number of cast members have already been spotted, including Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino — who has recovered following a stint in rehab — and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. Despite claims of there being some new faces introduced to the cast this season, there has yet to be any names announced or seen around town just yet.
This season is already set to mark a major change for the show. In addition to The Situation’s struggles with prescription pill addiction, Snooki is now just about six months pregnant with her first child. While multiples sources have already confirmed that Jionni LaValle’s fiancee will not be living with her booze-loving co-stars, she will be staying somewhere close by in order to spend as much time with them as humanly possible.
While it is currently unclear as to when season 6 will premiere, it’s likely to be in the late summer or fall considering that “Snooki & JWoww” is set to premiere on June 21, one week after “The Pauly D Project” comes to a close. While MTV loves their “Shore” stars, they wouldn’t risk audience erosion by airing multiple shows at the same time.
Is the appeal of these people still there for you, or are you finally burned out after two seasons that were rather uneventful and drama-free compared to what we saw in the past?
