It’s one of the strangest rumors we have heard in quite some time, but based on some of the rumors floating around at the moment it appears as though one of the stars of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” may have been banned from spoofing the franchise on popular video site — Funny or Die.
The story first surfaced courtesy of The Huffington Post’s Rob Shuter, who was told the following bit of information about Lisa Vanderpump and two former stars of the “New York” series:
“Jill Zarin, Alex McCord and Lisa Vanderpump were all asked if they wanted to do a Funny or Die video … Everyone said yes, and the concept was going to be ‘Housewives’ set in the future, in 2033. It was a very funny concept and would have been an Internet sensation, but Bravo made it very clear to all the ladies that they couldn’t do it.”
Ultimately, we have a feeling that there must have been something in the pitch related to the franchise that Bravo didn’t want out there more so than them just “banning” the ladies from taking part. After all, isn’t this a great way at some easy publicity? The only thing the network was probably thinking about what that there is a different between making headlines and possibly putting something unwanted out there.
Regardless of whether or not the rumors are true, we have a hard time believing that Vanderpump is ultimately crying herself to sleep over this. After all, she is currently filming season 3 of “Beverly Hills,” and also has a spin-off coming up about her “SUR” restaurant.
Do you believe some of these claims?
