I have known Dave since the 90s watched him tattoo others and himself !! He is very successful and did deserve to win in my opinion and apparently the judges….. But everyone will have something to say! It’s all good and I know lil John is so proud of him!!! Keep rocking Dave

But I really don’t think he deserved to win Ink Master. He does American Traditional style really well, but he failed at practically every other style they threw at him. That portrait was abysmal and should have gotten him sent home. He didn’t even do the challenge in one episode and Nunez saved him for some reason. It made me think the fix was in and the show was rigged to get him the win.
