If you were wondering why Justin Bieber is traveling to Oslo, Norway along with some other locales, it’s all because he is going to be bringing some of his music to the small screen courtesy of his “All Around the World” concert special.
Now, we also know that NBC is going to broadcast and air the hour-long show on Thursday, June 21 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. In addition to the special showcasing some music from Justin’s travels to various countries, it all also contain some documentary-style footage.
In a statement, the network’s senior vice-president of special programs and late night had the following to say about getting Bieber to stick around after he performed on “The Voice” finale earlier this year:
“We’re thrilled to air Justin Bieber’s first network special … We’ll have unprecedented access to Justin as our cameras film not only his performances, but his every move on this global tour – giving our viewers an all-access pass to his life over a 12-day period, something rarely seen on TV today.”
Bieber as already drawn huge crowds in Oslo for his first performance at the city’s opera house — and there are many more concerts to come that will be a part of the show. (Stay tuned for more details.)
