There’s some sad news coming from the world of “Private Practice” — like another Shonda Rhimes show in “Grey’s Anatomy,” it is going to be short of at least one actor when it starts up its new season.
In a new post on Twitter this week, Tim Daly announced that his character of Pete will not be a part of the show moving forward — which is particularly sad considering that he was just released from prison:
“Wonderful fans of PPP. Shonda [Rhimes] informed my agent today that Pete wont be returning for season 6 … It was a great 5 yrs. R.I.P. Pete Wilder.”
There were some casting changes expected for the show, though it’s not clear if this move was made for creative or for budgetary reasons. “Practice” will return to ABC with new episodes again in the same timeslot in which it aired this fall — Tuesday nights at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. However, it will be doing so without the lead-in of the “Dancing with the Stars” results show.
What’s your reaction to Daly leaving the show?
