In reply to TheDarklord. My statement had nothing to do with Sara or Felicity. I keep watching the show because, as I mentioned, there are other aspects of the series that I appreciate. As for Laurel, I consider her character to be one of the worst, most insufferable live action takes on a DC comic personality ever. I rank her right alongside Halle Berry/Catwoman, George Clooney/Batman and Shaquille O'Neal/Steel; she is that bad. I wish people like you would stop being apologists for her, it sends the message to DC and other decision makers that this kind of failure is acceptable. But alas, what can we do? I have my opinions and you have yours. I reserve the right to express my opinions just like you do, and your patronizing pity means nothing to me or anyone else.

In reply to RCM. If you don't like it don't watch it. Why waste time writing a comment about Black Canary. You are a fool. Laurel wasn't handed everything in this series like felicity or Sara. She went and experience real growth as a person and as a vigilante. If you can't understand that then I feel sorry for you and wish you weren't apart of the fan base.

Of course I’m excited for Laurel. As a long time comic book fan I find her portrayal of Black Canary delightful and fun to watch. As a matter of fact, she is the only reason I watch the show since they completely butchered the Green Arrow. I’m not sure who that dude running around in green leather is on ther show but it is certainly not Green Arrow.

The presence of Laurel never makes me feel anything but embarrassment for my favorite DC super heroine, Black Canary, whose reputation has been so thoroughly tarnished by this awful version of the character. Arrow, for all of its genuine accomplishments, completely dropped the ball with Laurel Lance to a degree that I doubt there’s any recovery. Suffice to say, the presence of Laurel does not make me at all excited for this particular episode. Thankfully, there appears to be other character stuff happening that I am interest in, and it will be nice to not have Laurel involved in that part of the story.
