‘The Hobbit’ releases photo of all 13 Dwarves — Comic-Con substitute?

Yes, it is indeed very sad that “The Hobbit” is not at Comic-Con (as admirable as it is that they did not want to show an unfinished product) — thankfully, Peter Jackson and company are doing their best to rectify the situation by at least giving us a few welcome bits of information about the film so many of us are excited to see.

To help make up for the film’s absence at the convention, a new photo surfaced on TheOneRing.net giving us a composite of all thirteen Dwarves from the upcoming Tokein adaptation — and it looks that Jackson was successful in giving all of them their very own look.

Jackson said in his most recent behind-the-scenes featurette about the film (which you can view via the related links below) that one of his biggest challenges with taking on this film was finding a way to make all of these characters distinctive — though now, he refers to having all of these Dwarves as one of the film’s biggest strengths.

We still have nearly a year and a half to wait before “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” hits theaters — but does this photo make life any easier at all until then?
