When Glasberg gets excited about some plan that he has for NCIS one can be 99.9 percent sure that it means another big Gibbs arc. I’ll believe Tony actually gets attention that comes to any good for or flatters the character only when I see it. He has turned Tony into a bubble bath loving, casserole baking non entity on the show. I can’t imagine this tiger changing his GIbbs obsessed stripes. IMO, we’re in for more mawkish GIbbs melodrama and Tony will be an after thought as usual.

Well, Glasberg seems to now be saying that they have plans for Tony this season. We will just have to see if he is telling the truth this time. For the last two years, Weatherly has not had much to do on the show. Shane Brennan and Bellisario used Tony a lot but Glasberg not so much. It’s kind of funny. Glasberg recently said how they were going to make “fundamental changes” to the show and how “fascinating” it is to watch it happen. I’ve watched all of his fundamental changes since season 11 and I don’t know if fascinating is what I would call them. They do take one’s breath away, however. It’s kind of like when I got hit right below the rib cage when I was about 10. A neighbor boy took a swing at a golf ball and let go of the club. It took about 5 minutes before I could catch my breath.again. I had that “what just happened?” response.

I find McGee heavy episodes rather dull. I understand that McGee fans are happy for all the attention the character has had of late but I miss Tony getting good episodes that actually flatter him. I wish we’d see less McGee and more Tony this season instead of insignificant Tony with the writers trying to turn McGee into Gibbs’s right hand man. Honestly I don’t have much hope though. The current show runner seems determined to serve up the dramas and tragedies of Gibbs Show with a side of up and coming Timmy. I think they’re going to show Tony the door this season. I doubt they’ll even let him go out a hero. They don’t seem to care the least bit about him anymore.
