Gibbs didn’t know that Luke had gone feral. They all went there to save him from The Calling because Luke lead him to believe that he was against them. He was going to help them nail these people. I think he was going to until they kidnapped him at the house and ‘got to him mentaly’ through the music and before Gibbs could get him back.

For someone in Gibbs position to blindly trust kids, particularly in this situation, would qualify as stupid. He walked into an obvious trap that any probie should have recognized. That was also stupid. The whole situation was stupid and that kind of stupidity and sloppiness goes against everything that up to now we have known about Gibbs. That’s what I didn’t like. The writers had Gibbs acting in a way that violated the character they have established over the years.

Gibbs was not stupid in any way. They were all working ‘blind’ as to who was who, and sussing out the area. Gibbs has always trusted kids and thats why he was in disbelief when Luke shot him. He had befriended Luke and gone to help him. He did go for his gun but Luke shot him the 2nd time.

I totally agree with Mr twicky, I will also be anxious to see how the bigwigs right this ERROR wrong in their script!!! I’ve been watching from the first show 13 years ago and love it, and hope it will go on for another 13 or more! Hopefully I’ll be around for a long time to watch many more years (I’m 77 ) !!! Good going NCIS……..
