Comic-Con 2011: Justin Timberlake makes appearance for ‘In Time’

Caroline Bonarde Ucci

Justin Timberlake has traveled all over the world for both his music and film careers, but there was still one place he had never visited before Thursday night — San Diego Comic-Con. His appearance came as a shock to many — and he also did not stay around for a particularly long time.

However, both he and Amanda Seyfried did at least stick around long enough to shell out a few details at the 20th Century Fox panel on their much-discussed new project “In Time,” which has already gone through two name changes and carries a rather controversial premiere of a world where people never truly get old, and are thus then forced to work in order to keep themselves alive stuck permanently in a 25-year old body.

Rather than trying to describe it personally, let’s allow the guy who actually taped the movie talk:

“Time is money … I’m┬ájust an ordinary guy, trying to stay alive. And there’s a lot of guns, which both of us really enjoyed.”

Perhaps the most impressive part about Justin showing up is simply that he did so following a rigorous publicity tour for his new movie “Friends with Benefits” that features both interviews in New York and Los Angeles.

Do you think seeing Justin in a sci-fi / fantasy film could work?
