‘Dancing with the Stars’ alum Metta World Peace gets Memorial Day confused

This is awkward…
Memorial Day is always a time in which people from all around America tribute the men and women fighting overseas — and often, you see articles all about celebrities going public with their support of the troops and honoring those who have already fallen.
When it comes to Memorial Day mess-ups, though, it’s quite possible that no one may be able to touch Metta World Peace anytime soon. In a post on Twitter Monday, the Los Angeles Lakers star (and former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, mostly notorious for being the first one out) sent out his well-wishes — but for the wrong holiday:
“Happy labor day….Enjoy it.”
Really, we don’t even know what else to say about this. Do you think this sort of faux pas is funny, or disrespectful to what the holiday is all about? You can also check out some other messages from stars talking about the holiday below. (Update: World Peace has since deleted the tweet, saying that he gets his holidays confused.)

A heartfelt thank you to all of the men and women who serve(d) in our military. What you did, and continue to do, is awesome.

This Memorial Day, my thoughts are with all the brave men and women who’ve lost their lives serving our country, and their families.
