‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Damien Darhk has a surprise
The fourth season of “Arrow” is getting set for its premiere on October 7, and while we wait for that, the folks over at The CW’s marketing department do continue to surprise. There is something in the new promo below that we would consider at least a pretty decent spoilers, but since they’re the ones who put this out there, it would seem odd to not write about it. We just figured that we’d give you a heads-up in advance.
Still with us? Well, apparently Damien Darhk has some force-powers going on, given that he can stop one of the Green Arrow’s signature weapons from coming in his direction. This is not something we were anticipating, since the comic-book version of the character is known more for his intellect, and not for having some sort of meta-human ability. We’re not sure that he really needs them to be imposing at all.
Ultimately, though, the show is mostly going to be carving their own path with him as a villain. He is not particularly well-known, and that allows them the opportunity to try and enforce some creative freedom. We do know that Neal McDonough is a fantastic actor, and that alone is enough to allow us to continue to be excited.
In looking beyond Darhk, this promo does still have a lot to like if you are a fan of Oliver and Felicity. Their relationship continues to get face-time, and in the wake of what happened at the end of last season, it will not be ignored.
