‘America’s Got Talent’ nearing end of YouTube auditions

The end is almost here.

We are now two weeks into this season of “America’s Got Talent,” but there still are some auditions for the show coming in from across the web.

June 1 is set to be the submission deadline for all people hoping to try out for the show via YouTube, and there is a video below that will explain just what you need to do in order to ultimately get on the show live and compete in front of Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, and Sharon Osbourne.

Admittedly, there is still a part of us who loathes the online auditions — or at least the fact that these people get a pretty easy ticket to at least one live show. Why shouldn’t they go to Vegas just like everyone else? (If they have changed the format this year, we’re not aware of it.)

Considering that Jackie Evancho was discovered via these auditions, there inclusion is certainly justified — and when you also remember that the talent level this season has been far from spectacular, maybe we need something like this to discover some real stars out there, regardless of when they are allowed to enter the competition.
