Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelorette” is going to be rather familiar if you have watched past seasons of the show. Why? Let’s just say that it contains a date based around climbing up something — and also a concert featuring a celebrity guest.
First and foremost, Emily Maynard is going to take Chris Bukowski (who has been relatively quiet so far this season outside of looking extremely manly) out on a “romantic” date where they claim up the side of a building while it looks like rain is about to pour on them at any given second. Does it seem impossible to us that someone could find romance under such circumstances? Yes, but you also have to remember that Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi seemed to enjoy it (albeit before a horrible breakup) — as for a better example, Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney first found a spark doing a similar sort of date. (On the flip side, it still took Jason quite a while here to realize what exactly he was missing out on.)
Meanwhile, the date with Arie Luyendyk seems to be based around the two working together to write a song … and then Dolly Parton joins them! Considering that we ranked Arie #1 on our list of Emily’s most-likely suitors, we have a big feeling that he is going to be around for a while, Emily is at least familiar with the racing world already (even if it is a different kind of racing), and she seems totally taken by the guy even when he is not around.
The only date coming up that really seems to be somewhat original for this season is the group one — which really just features Emily’s friends awkwardly interviewing all of the guys. We really have a feeling that somewhere Patti Stanger (who seems to hate this sort of thing on “The Millionaire Matchmaker”) is off somewhere screaming at the TV while all of this is going down.
Do you think that Arie or Chris could end up becoming Emily’s future fiance — or even husband?
