Of course Dr Scott isn’t dead – that would just be too much for us fans, and the show, to survive. Perhaps a long and interesting recovery. In the end I think she’ll end up staying with the ship, and not going inland.
Personally, I would have preferred that Chandler got shot, but that’s just because I find the character very annoying. I’m more of a Picard and not Kirk as captain model.
Overall, great ending with lots of character bits that showed a lot more of the crews story. And, love me some Tex….

She can’t be dead! after teasing us about Rachandler for two seasons, they can’t just kill her! I don’t think she is dead because if the producers truly wanted her gone, they would have put a more emotional goodbye scene between Tom and Rachel, possibly a love scene. It would be REALLY cruel to just kill Dr. Scott after making us care so much about this two people as a potential couple. There is so much unresolved stuff between them!

I really hope that the doctor is not gone. The character is one of my primary reasons for watching.

I’m wondering if the outbreak in Alaska is a mutated strain of the virus that is resistant to the contagious cure. Would make things much more interesting if Rachel is recovering & unable to help for a few episodes.

It basically means “thus always to tyrants” – in other words, tyrants will “get theirs” (assassination) just because they, uh, “deserve it” in the minds of crazy people like that Immune redneck…and John Wilkes Booth, who also famously uttered it when he killed Abraham Lincoln.
