While we have been spending a great deal of our time lately talking about Britney Spears starting up filming on the American “X Factor,” it’s time that the original version of the series across the pond got a little bit of love.
With that in mind, we have some great news — the stellar tandem of Olly Murs and Caroline Flack are going to be officially coming back for the “Xtra Factor” aftershow next season — though due to Olly’s touring commitments in America, he will not be a physical presence until the live shows.
In a statement, here what they each had to say on the subject of returning:
Caroline – “Even though Olly and I won’t be reunited in person until the live shows we will be together all the way in spirit, he’s bound to be calling me mid-interview to check what has been happening on the judges tour to ensure he doesn’t miss out on any crucial gossip.”
Olly – “I know it’s going to be a great year and we’ll be grilling the judges and contestants more than ever before.”
Auditions for the talent show are kicking off in Liverpool, and will continue over the coming days with a variety of guest judges filling the void left by the departed Kelly Rowland. It may not be until the boot camp rounds that we learn just who is going to be stepping into the role full-time.
We’re absolutely thrilled to see more of Olly and Caroline — and to be frank, we wish there was a way for the American version of the show to have the same sort of after-show party where you could get to know the contestants better.
