Nina Dobrev already knows a thing or two about playing vampires — after all, she has tackled the character of Katherine on “The Vampire Diaries” throughout the show’s first three seasons.
However, what is a little bit of a mystery to her now is how she is going to transition from playing one vampire to playing two now that Elena has turned. Speaking to Us Weekly in a new interview, taking on these two different characters is something that Dobrev says will be challenging:
“I’m vampire-squared now! … I’m playing two vampires, so my challenge is going to be making them different, as I have thus far. Before it was because one’s a vampire one’s a human — it was easy — and now I have to try and make Elena a vampire.”
Granted, we still don’t really have any sort of indication as to when Katherine is actually going to be coming back on the show. The character was not a part of the latter portion of season 3, though with Klaus “gone” (though he is actually in Tyler’s body) it is possible that she could resurface.
Do you want to see Katherine have a role in season 3, especially since we haven’t see her around Mystic Falls in so long?
